A child was asked, when he was taken out on a lonely night, "Boy, don't you feel fear?" In reply, this 'boy' enquired, "What is 'fear'?" The above, of course, is an extreme example of fearlessness. In fact, children, in general, are not afflicted by irrational fears as most 'grown-up' persons are! The true seeker's objective, while taking cue from the 'child' within him, should be to understand also the nature of fear that comes over him, dwelling upon its origin, its movements and its growth.
