Super Dad Rick van Beek
Rick van Beek from Byron Center, Michigan, started running. Bu he is not a usual runner. He participates in races carrying his 13-year-old daughter Maddy, who suffers from cerebral palsy. The girl is unable to talk or walk but she enjoys being outside and feel the breeze in her hair and in her face. Rick pushes Maddy in a buggy, pulls her in a special bike when it comes to cycling and pulls her through the water in a custom-made kayak. Together the “Team Maddy” has participated in more than 70 triathlons, half-marathons and other outdoor races.
All new Range Rover luxury SUV officially revealed
Land Rover is one of the few auto manufacturers in the world that is expanding, due to the phenomenal success of the Evoque. This has delivered just the sort of confidence and resources needed to embark on a ground-up re-design of the flagship Range Rover. The parameters were clear: lighter, more efficient, more luxurious, more modern, yet still retaining extraordinary off-road capability and looking unmistakably like a Range Rover. Today the fruits of the company’s efforts were revealed.
Flying with the fastest birds on the planet
Tiny spy cameras allow you to see some of the world's most magnificent birds in flight. Watch this video to learn how the fastest bird on the planet, the peregrine falcon, keeps control at mind-numbing speeds, and take a flight with the master of manoeuvrability, the Gos Hawk, as it flies through dense woodland. Great animal video from BBC wildlife show Animal Camera, with music by Gregory Paul.
Checking Meters
Two gas company servicemen, a senior training supervisor and a young trainee, were out checking meters in a suburban neighborhood.
They parked their truck at the end of the alley and worked their way to the other end. At the last house, a woman looking out her kitchen window watched the two men as they checked her gas meter.
Finishing the meter check, the senior supervisor challenged his younger coworker to a foot race down the alley back to the truck to prove that an older guy could outrun a younger one.
